Dr. Rezi joined the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) in 2020 as a senior lecturer. Rezi received his undergraduate degree in chemical engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology, NJ, USA in 2012. Following this, he joined a private company in Southport, Port Klang, Malaysia as an operation executive in charge in the bulk handling & distribution of bitumen, lube base oil, etc. He later joined Department of Chemical and Environmental Enginering, UPM, Malaysia as a teaching assistant & then offered a scholarship from Ministry of Higher Education of Malaysia to pursue his doctoral study.

Dr. Rezi received his doctoral training under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hae-Kwon Jeong at Texas A&M University, USA (check out Dr Jeong's research website). In Dr. Jeong's Multiscale Nanostructured Materials Lab, Rezi investigated the synthesis of thin zeolitic imidazolate framework ZIF-8 polycrystalline membranes on polymer hollow fibers for the challenging propylene/propane separations.
